Course Information
Access Cars may open the door to a job in the fast fit industry or an apprenticeship.
- The course starts on the 10th May 2010 with a two week selection process, followed by eight weeks of training. It is based at the GTG workshop at Sighthill Industrial Estate.
- You'll get an introduction to motor mechanics and practical training in key skills such as tyre fitting, wheel changing and steering alignment.
- On successful completion, you'll get a City and Guilds Qualification, a possible work placement, and a guaranteed interview* with an employer.
- Those who complete the course to a sufficient standard will be offered the chance to join the GTG programme and pursue a modern apprenticeship in motor mechanics.
* Provided only to those who satisfactorily complete the course (with an emphasis on attitude, attendance and skill level)
