Prepare to Care

Course Start Date - Starts 4th October 2010 for 10 weeks

Course Times - Every Monday 9.30am - 3.30pm

A free short course to get you back into education and employment which is now back in Hawick. It’s free and there are no formal entry qualifications required. Extra support is provided throughout the course.

• Prepare to Care is a free 10 week course that will help you get back into education and put you on track for a career in the care sector.  All you need is an interest in working and caring for others.
• The course will give you an understanding of care skills and will offer valuable work experience in the care sector. On successful completion of the course, you’ll gain a recognisable qualification and get help with your next steps into employment or further study.
• The course is at the Hawick Learning Campus, Borders College, Scottish Borders.
• Taking part in the course does not affect benefit entitlement as the course lasts fewer than 16 hours a week 
• Help is available with travel and other costs.
