Garry gets voted CSI Newbattle 'Student of the Course'
Garry left school with few qualifications and continued working in the construction industry until an injury prevented him from going back to work. With few alternative options and a period of inactivity at home, Garry's confidence was knocked. In April 2009 Garry was accepted onto CSI: Newbattle at Newbattle Abbey College. Garry's confidence shot up after he realised what he was capable of and started applying to colleges such as Newbattle Abbey College and Jewel & Esk College. At the end of the course Garry was voted "Student of the Course" by his tutors and fellow students for his commitment, positive, helpful attitude drive to succeed. Garry waits to hear the result of his applications and enthusiastically works towards his goal - 'I want to empower myself with knowledge'.
In other course news, 5 former AI students who started Intro to Graphic Design in September 2006 are graduating with HND in Graphic Design from Edinburgh's Telford College. One of these students has been offered employment and a place at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art to join 3rd Year.
