This Online learning environment has been funded through the Scottish Objective 3 ESF Partnership. The work is part of the 'Chance to Learn' project, which aims to prepare a series of training materials useable on-line for specific target groups. The online materials are intended to provide a focus of activity for the establishment of a new learning infrastructure involving a cross-sector partnership of academic, business and community interests. The project, which is funded to the tune of £220,000 over three years will, within the context of a review of the feasibility of online learning, develop new online materials around 6 key curriculum themes. Ultimately, the project will attempt, through across institution collaboration, to increase the understanding of change in the delivery of learning and in particular the growing role of information communication technologies in achieving wider access. The project is a partnership between Edinburgh's Telford College and Stevenson College.
