Garry voted CSI Newbattle 'Student of the Course'

Garry left school with few qualifications and worked in the construction industry until an injury prevented him from going back to work. With few alternative options and a period of inactivity at home, Garry's confidence was knocked.

In April 2009, Garry was accepted onto CSI: Newbattle at Newbattle Abbey College. Garry's confidence shot up after he realised what he was capable of and started applying to colleges such as Newbattle Abbey College and Jewel & Esk College. At the end of the course, he was voted "Student of the Course" by his tutors and fellow students for his commitment, his positive, helpful attitude and his drive to succeed.

Garry is currently waiting to hear the result of his applications and looks forward to a more positive future: 'I want to empower myself with knowledge'.
